This NYE the Garden Route will be host to Arkology

Arkology In Eden (NYE)

Event Date: 31 December, 2018
Dust off your year! This NYE the Garden Route will be host to Arkology – a collective of designers, craftsmen, musicians & visual artists who play at the intersection of art, technology & sustainability.

We will be bringing the desert magic back from The Watering Hole and The ARKOLOGY Stage at Afrikaburn to this lush coastal paradise at the most sought after venue in Plettenberg Bay.

Join us this NYE for a variety of music, unique staging, ambitious visuals, organic food and wholesome people. In preserving the intimacy and quality of the event, tickets will be limited – so move swiftly!

DATE: 31 December 2018 – 1 January 2019
TIME: 3pm to 3am
VENUE: Cairnbrogie Dairy Farm, Airport Road

The Stage
A modular, organic stage that invites inclusivity and musical & visual immersion. Nestled underneath a Victorian-style barn which is to be our projection canvas, this year’s stage is as much a homage to the organic as it is to the emerging digital.

Our stages are designed and crafted from scratch, and often incorporate digital fabrication and the use of sustainable materials such as bamboo and SA Pine. At night, watch the stage come to life as our integrated LEDs dance to the music!

Visuals – Projection Mapping
An ambitious ‘projection mapping’ show on a large Victorian-style barn at the centre of the grounds, forming a living backdrop of light, form and colour!

An eclectic progression of instrumental and analogue, into a blend of boogie and melodic electronic. We thus curated a line up that includes bands and DJ’s of a wide spread of genres to accommodate the mixed crowd.

Arrive at the exquisite Cairnbrogie Dairy Farm, located just outside Plett central. This pristine stretch of farm & coastal land is managed by an ethical dairy farmer deeply active in nature conservation throughout the Western Cape. The land here aligns strongly with Arkology’s ethos of ‘regenerative play’, and therefore by supporting this festival you’ll also be directly contributing to the protection and biodiversity of this wild and precious forest and fynbos region.

Bar and Food
Expect artisan and gourmet food and drink options – we support small business! There will be a bar with cash and card facilities; clean toilets; parking; safe and affordable transport and food stalls. More details to follow!
