Welcome Len Swimmer to the Plett Ratepayers Association

Lets welcome another committed, skilled and very experienced board member to the Plett Ratepayers Association Len Swimmer

For the last 16 years and even today, I have been fully involved in community matters in Hout Bay and Cape Town. I am the founder of the GCTCA and for the last 4 years have been Chairman and leader of the Greater Cape Town Civic Alliance (A Civic Organisation consisting of over 146 Civic Associations). I am passionate about  the Environment, Democracy, Freedom of Speech & Association and fight vociferously against unjust causes. One may call me a Civil Activist.

  1. I was Chairman and then Deputy Chairman of the Greater Cape Town Civic Alliance
  2. Chairman of the Hout Bay Residents’ & Ratepayers’ Association
  3. Deputy Chairman of the Hout Bay & Llandudno Environmental Conservation Group
  4. Chairman & Trustee of the South African Friends of the Bodleian Library connected to Oxford University in England
  5. Member of the Hout Bay & Llandudno Heritage Association

I have lectured in Law as I have a BA(Law) University of Natal, Management, Communication, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Motivation and Self Actualisation at Universities, Colleges and Schools.
