A special thanks to Ratepayers Association’s board member Steve Pattinson for representing the RA in getting all the interested parties around a table to develop a plan for the resumption of commercial operations at Plett airport. “Miles van der Molen and the Cemair team worked closely with Bitou municipality to reach agreement and move things forward at pace.”
“The CAA inspection took place last week and with the exception of a few issues, all went well and Cemair expects to resume flights into Plett from 12 November,” he said.
“Hats off to all Cemair staff who worked really hard to action all the necessary CAA items and are bearing a huge amount of the upfront cost. This will be offset by a reduction in future landing fees,” said Steve.
Thanks to Cemair, both Avgas and Jet A1 fuel are back in supply.
Kind regards,
Peter Gaylard
