Dear Members,
We appreciate the great response we received to our question of whether the next Ratepayers’ AGM should be held in February 2023 rather than December 2022. The overwhelming majority requested it be held in February, after the busy holidays, so we will plan accordingly for next year.
We are pleased to announce that the proposed boutique hotel, which would have blocked part of the view from Signal Hill, has been stopped, and the demolition of the dilapidated structure will follow. We applaud the new council for taking the decision to rescind the boutique hotel application and to proceed with the demolition of the illegal structure.
The Ratepayers’ Association and a group of its members collaborated vigorously towards promoting this outcome. Now we await the administration’s execution of the council decision.
